Who said Family Portraits can't be fun?!

Another great family session, and another great sofa (theirs not mine). We battled with bright, harsh sunlight, and heat but it was a great session. I have to tell you 11 year old boys can be tough. A lot of times it takes some time for them to open up to me and feel comfortable in front of the camera. Not this one. He was comfortable from the beginning and did not mind one bit that my camera was *in his face*!! Thanks, "K" You are going to be famous one day, I know it!! And as you can see I was quite captivated by 5 year old, "L's" shyness. Her eyes drew me in and I felt like I was peering into her soul. You can see how her innocense shines through. "L", I had so much fun with you!! :)

I am now currently booked through the end of July. You may call/email to be put on a waiting list. I will be taking a limited number of sessions in August. Please call ahead to check availability. As of right now, I will be returning back to work in October (depending on when our baby boy decides to join the world.) As most of you know this is a busy time for holiday sessions. I will continue to update my blog as time gets closer so be sure to check back. You may want to go ahead and schedule your holiday sessions during August to ensure they are here by Christmas.
**Please also note that mid-August through October no orders will be processed. So, if you have orders pending, please contact me A.S.A.P. to place your order if you need them before then. All orders placed after mid-August will be filled upon my return in October.

This is one of my baby planners. I have been photographing her since she was about 6 weeks old. I have to tell you one of the greatest joys of my job is watching these little ones grow. I just love her smile!!

Just one for now. Let me just say this session ROCKED!! Battling the sun was well worth it.
My chair "obsession" has now turned into a couch obsession!! lol I have been dying to get a sofa in an open field for some time now. But being 6 months pregnant I obviously couldn't lug one out there on my own.
This was shot on the bride-to-be's property and when I told her about my couch idea she mentioned her grandfather still had her deceased grandmother's couch. When she explained it I knew it would be perfect. (Plus the sentimental value of it). Well, when she walked up in this dress, it was like a photographer's dream come true. It all fit perfectly!
