Little Miss "L"

6 month olds are becoming one of my favorite ages to photograph. :) I know, I know, I said there wasn't a certain age I preferred to photograph, but when they have a personality like this little angel and not yet mobile (lol), how can I not love this age!? This little one was such a great client. Full of smiles, personality, and the best part, she didn't run away from me! lol She actually sat still for me. Now, don't get me wrong, I love to chase little ones around, it is fun to be challenged. However, it's such a fresh change when I get these little ones who don't move so fast!

Thank you, "D" Family for making the drive. I enjoyed our session together. You were great to work with!

Model to Be

Miss "B" is one of my fav. clients. Maybe it's because I have had the joy of photographing her numerous times. She has such a kind heart. She always makes sure I return home with a *gift* for my son, Jonah. She doesn't need much direction from me. She is full of personality and it comes out in her portraits. She has all the *moves* down and honestly they are all of her poses.

I just love working with you, Miss *B*. I can't wait until our next session. You truly brighten up my day.

Michigan Sessions

I will be making a trip to Michigan in June. If you are interested in booking a session while I am there, please post in the comments below. Please leave your email address so I can contact you. If you would prefer to email me with your information you can do that as well. There are a limited amount of spaces available so sessions will be booked on a first come, first serve basis. Most likely, sessions will be held in the Ann Arbor area.

What is your favorite age to photograph?

You know I am asked this question quite often and my answer often changes. And I realized when I saw this image that it's not a certain age I prefer to photograph it's the MOMENTS I love to photograph. Moments like the ones in the images below... personal, true, and sincere. Look at the love in mom's eyes. This is nothing I could have *set up.* It's obvious that mom is just smitten with her little girl.

I am back to work in full force. I enjoyed being on maternity leave more than you can imagine. However, I was beginning to miss working. So, here is some of my recent work.

New Contest

I am ecstatic to announce my new contest. I currently have a display of my work up at a local pediatrician's office. I am going to be rotating the portraits throughout the year. Please vote for your favorite image below to be placed on display. Contestants have been chosen at random from past and recent sessions.
The winner's family will receive the beautiful 11x14 mounted portrait once it comes off of the display and will also receive a complimentary portrait session.
